The last year’s food yield in Van Khanh Commune was estimated to hit 3.9 thousand tons, 111.6% of the plan, according to figures from the Van Khanh Commune People’s Committee. The cultivated land occupied 770ha, 112% of the plan. Van Khanh Commune has 259ha of winter - spring crop with a yield of 1,795 tons and a productivity of 69.3 quintals/ ha.
Tropical storm Mirinae last year caused huge damage to crops in Khanh Hoa Province. Therefore, since the beginning of the year, flood prevention efforts have been made and 7 tons of rice seeds have been provided free to 195 farmers in Van Khanh Commune.
