The Festival is annually celebrated on the first three days of the third lunar month at the temple in commemoration of Lady Goddess Thien Yana who is honored as Holy Mother. Legends says the Goddess once descended and spent her childhood here. The Goddess is credited with founding this homeland, discovering the rice tree and teaching the local people how to cultivate.
