VLAP in good progress in Khanh Hoa Province

Being one of nine provinces selected for the Vietnam land administrative project, named VLAP for short, Khanh Hoa Province has been trying to implement the project during the past over one year and got initial achievements.

VLAP, which is scheduled in five years from 2008 to 2013, so far spend 1/3 of its time. In 2009, under the permission of the provincial People’s Committee, Vlap’s management board developed the project in two districts of Cam Lam and Cam Ranh as models. Up to now, tender for equipment, bid for technical services (e.g. technical designs, estimates, land mapping, land registration and files for land title-deed issuance), bid for services to consult, check and take over works and propaganda for the project in the two districts have reached completion. All the local authorities and people have advocated the project. The entrepreneurs now has fulfilled 85% of the measurement of 14,000 hectares in 11 out of 14 communes of Cam Lam District. To communes of Cam Phuoc Tay, Cam Tan and Son Tan in Cam Ranh District, owing to VND-2000 map, entrepreneurs are guiding local people and receiving files of land title-deed registration.

VLAP propagandized widely to Khanh Hoa’s residents 

Khanh Hoa ranks second in the nine provinces in the term of VLAP’s progress. 2010 is considered as a decisive year of the project. Accordingly, this year, the management board will lead the entrepreneurs to carry out tenders of measurement, land map completion, land title-deed registration and issuance and land database record in remaining localities, including Dien Khanh District, Khanh Son District, Ninh Hoa District, Khanh Vinh District and Nha Trang City. At the same time, equipment and computer purchase and provincial-level cadre training in modern file management and digital database access will be developed in all eight localities of the province.

According to Nguyen Van Phuc, manager of VLAP, above-said achievements of the projects are thanks to the care, instruction and cooperation from authorities and department at all levels in the province and the support from the local people.
