Khanh Hoa is a South Central Coast province with a rather rapid economic growth and attractive place for investors. Industrial zones in the province have created a large number of jobs for laborers. However, there are still another number of unemployed laborers in the province.
One of solutions to that situation is labor export. The provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has entrusted the inferiors to associate with labor export businesses to consult laborers about labor export. Moreover, the department positively mobilizes labor export businesses to do their recruitment in the province. Many businesses has joined this activity, for example Sai Gon Tourist, Sai Gon Textile Garment Joint Stock Company, International Manpower Supply and Trade Company and Trade and Tourism Labor Export Company. Annually, such businesses send 400 – 600 laborers abroad, almost to Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Middle-East and Russia. Thus, the number of exported laborers is increasing. In 2009, more than 200 laborers in the province were exported. The figure so far this year is 170.
Ho Viet Tien Son, director of the provincial Job Center said, “Labor export has been paid attention during the past years, which is suitable with the international economic integration. Foreign labor market becomes more and more diversified and the labor demand also is increasing. Therefore, the laborers in the province have more chances to find good jobs.”
Labor export now is considered as a solution to create jobs and raise income for laborers. More and more laborer have been trained to be qualified for working abroad.
