In the period 2005-2010, Khanh Hoa Telecommunications (VNPT Khanh Hoa) has made great effort to overcome obstacles and difficulties caused by economic downturn by improving infrastructures to meet the increasing socio-economic demand.
Founded on August 20, 2008, the Party Committee of VNPT Khanh Hoa has managed to fulfill its targets contributing to the socio-economic growth and order security. Telecommunications infrastructures and service have much improved and its cable network has been expanded to better meet customers’ demand. There were over 100,000 fixed phone subscribers, 4 central switchboards, 64 the network switching subsystems, over 2,200 MegaVNN subscribers, 33 base transceiver stations (BTS).

VNPT Khanh Hoa has seen much progress in the recent five years. Presently, there are 200,000 phone subscribers, including 150,000 fixed phone subscribers, accounting for 97.5% of the market share in Khanh Hoa; 20,000 Gphone subscribers and 30,000 post-paid subscribers; and 50,000 MegaVNN subscribers.
In addition, there are 500,000km/pair of inner-zone cable network and 1,000km of fiber cables, a three-fold increase compared with 2005 with 100 network switching subsystems. The system for mobile communications has covered throughout the province with over 200 BTS, an eight-fold increase compared with 2005. Particularly, the number of subscribers in remote areas have rapidly increased contributing to the industrialization and agricultural and rural modernization.
Moreover, VNPT Khanh Hoa has focused on the improvement of labor force’s professional knowledge and skills. In 2005-2010, VNPT Khanh Hoa in cooperation with open universities have held courses and academic seminars/workshops for its staff.
VNPT Khanh Hoa has always achieved and exceeded its targets in promoting production and business activities as well as raising employees’ income.
