Apart from raising fund for the poor, the Women’s Association in cooperation with Khanh Hoa Provicial Agricultural Promotion Center and Farmers’ Association has held courses on new rice varieties, aquaculture and cultivation. The members’ living standard has much improved. Good examples include the women’s association of Vinh Nguyen Ward, Phuong Sai, Vinh Hai, Vinh Phuong, Vinh Ngoc and Vinh Thanh.
In addition, the women’s association has also focused on building happy family life. The imitative is related to the effort to fight against family violence, social evils, child abuse and so on.
Moreover, the members have also joined charity work, including donating to the housing fund for the poor and joining HIV/AIDS control clubs to create public awareness of the fatal disease.
However, shortcomings include limited cooperation of women’s associations and trade unions and unequal qualifications among executive boards. The content of activities are not very appealing.
In the last 6 months, the association will try to overcome difficulties and make good the existing shortcomings to give timely support to poor women, hold vocational classes and strengthen the propaganda against smoking, environmental pollution, family violence, drug abuse and addiction. The effort aims to build a healthy and happy life.
