2005 – 2010 term has ended. 2010 – 2015 term has started. Khanh Hoa Province with the new Party Executive Committee has enter a new development period.
Khanh Hoa Province is a potential land with favorable natural conditions. Located in the South Central Coast, Khanh Hoa has a beach spreading from Dai Lanh Commune to the end of Cam Ranh Bay with a total length of coastline of 385 km featuring numerous creek mouths, lagoons, river mouths, and hundreds of islands and islets. The province also has a lot of ancient historical monuments. Those create favorable conditions for the province to develop tourism.

Being aware of that, the provincial Party Committees during many terms have shifted the economic structure towards tourism. And the reality has proved that proper tendency. Everybody can recognize that Khanh Hoa Province has been developing day by day. Urban areas change very fast. Streets and houses get more good-looking. The residents’ living also has been improved with an income per capita always higher than that of the country. Especially, Nha Trang is known as a first-class tourist center in the country. It has a lot of impressive tourist products, attracting tourists at home and abroad. More and more works for tourism have been built up, creating jobs for a large number of laborers.
In addition, other economic fields such as industry and agriculture also have showed a strong growth. Big businesses mostly have a good growth and contribute very much to the treasury. Owing to an open business environment, small and medium-sized businesses have also expanded in quantity and quality, delivering much to the treasury. Many large-scale projects have been set up and played an important role in the province’s economy. Agriculture has been industrialized gradually with an increasing productivity, ensuring food security and making up a remarkable portion in the province’s GDP.
The development of the province also was marked by the fact Nha Trang was recognized as a first-class city in 2009. It was a great effort of the Party Committee and the people of the province. From then, Nha Trang has become a center of politics, economy, culture, technical science, tourism, service and traffic in the country, impulsing the socioeconomic development of the South Central region.
Recently, the province has set up Van Phong Economic Zone, which is expected to be an economic key of the province.
The province has made a breakthrough in construction. Many significant road have been built up such as Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard, Pham Van Dong Street and Khanh Le – Lam Dong Road. These roads have opened new potentials for the province.
In the situation of the global economic downturn, Khanh Hoa has overcome difficulties to keep a fair growth rate and a stable life for the people.
The 2010-2015 term provincial Party Committee has been entrusted to make the province develop more with a stable growth rate and a better life for the people.
