In an increasingly severe completive environment, Mai Linh Group has made great effort to confirm its brand, especially in passenger transportation. Its business profit pursue is always connected with social responsibilities.

Great effort

Founded in 2003 with 15 cabs and 35 staff, after 7 years of construction and development, Mai Linh Group has increased its number of cabs to 1,200 with more than 2,700 personnel working in southern central provinces, the highland and in Champasak, Laos.

Besides passenger transportation, Mai Linh Group has also expanded its operation to other services, including tourism. Mai Linh has won clients’ satisfaction. In 2009, Mai Linh was granted Vietnam’s Golden Star award and recognized to be the most satisfactory service provider in a survey conducted by Sai Gon Tiep Thi Newspaper.

The achievements are the combined effort of all experienced staff. Many luxurious cabs have been put into operation such as Toyota Innova, Toyota Vios, Misubisi Joile, etc. “Our vision is "To be the best service provider wherever we are," said Ho Minh Chau, General Director of Mai Linh Group.

Taxi driver staff have been carefully selected, only 30 out of 100 applicants are recruited on average. Mai Linh drivers are provided regular training in laws and professional service skill. Amid the global economic recession in 2008 and 2009, the company made great effort to overcome difficulties and extend its lead over the competition. Many environmentally friendly means of transport have been put into operation. Mai Linh electricity cars were chosen in the street parade in Miss Universe 2008. The nice image of the means of transport has helped promote tourism in Nha Trang City.

Social responsibility

General Director Ho Minh Chau said, “The founders of the company are veterans. The company has a fund for social welfare dedicated to employees. In addition, we have taken part in many charity activities, including offering school things worth over 1 billion VND to poor students in Khanh Hoa and discount transport services for many elementary school children in Nha Trang City.

The company sent VND600 million relief, including clothing and food to flood victims of the three provinces of Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh in 2009. “Profit is the reason for running a business. However, every enterprises must pursue a social purpose. Over the year, Mai Linh staff have donated to the charity fund for better life,” said Ho Minh Chau.
