Five dead, two injured, two missing in floods

Five people (2 in Dien Khanh, 1 in Ninh Hoa, 1 in Cam Ranh, 1 in Nha Trang) were killed, two (1 in Dien Khanh and 1 in Nha Trang) were injured and two (1 in Nha Trang and 1 in Khanh Vinh) were missing as torrential rain and flooding swept Khanh Hoa Province. The flood from October 29 to November 3 has caused VND 300b damage to communities in Khanh Hoa Province, according to the latest figures released by the Office of the Provincial Flood Prevention Steering Board.

Widespread damage was caused to crops and traffic constructions in Khanh Hoa Province. Many houses were submerged in water and some communities were isolated by flood water. Some main streets in Nha Trang were also flooded. Rescue teams have been sent to help people stranded by flood waters. 2,256 families were evacuated to safety.
