Over the past years, the teaching staff of Nha Trang College of Culture, Art & Tourism have made great effort to fulfill their training tasks helping to build the reputation in training in the fields of culture, art & tourism.

Nha Trang Tourism & Cultural Arts College is among reputable training institutions in Khanh Hoa Province. Nha Trang College of Culture, Art & Tourism, formerly known as Phu Khanh Professional School of Culture & Information School, was founded on July 10, 1978. It was upgraded into Phu Khanh High School of Culture & Art in 1988 and then renamed Khanh Hoa High School of Culture & Art. The school was upgraded into Nha Trang College of Culture, Art & Tourism in 2004.

Besides academic programs, the school has held many cultural and sporting activities for students. Especially, it has achieved three records in two sea festivals in Khanh Hoa with the longest and heaviest fermented pork roll in Vietnam in 2007 and the biggest pot of noodle soup in Vietnam to serve 14,000-15,000 tourists. The pot contained 7,000 liters of water, 450 kg of beef bones, 100 kg of noodle soup and 160 kg of vegetables.

The most recent record to be set by the Nha Trang Culture, Art and Tourism College was the largest traditional orchestra in Vietnam at the Nha Trang Sea Festival on June 10, 2010. The orchestra consisted of 189 instrumentalists, who are teachers and students in the College.

In addition, the school won a gold medal in the National Musical & Acting Festival 2006 for cultural and art schools, a gold medal in the National Professional Acting Festival 2009 and the first team prize in the National Traditional Musical & Acting Festival 2010.

Thanks to the concern and support from the local authorities and the great effort of the school, since 2005, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and the school have invested over VND15 billion in infrastructures, including teaching equipment. At present, there are 200 internet-connected computers and a digital library with 10,350 book titles and hundreds of traditional and modern musical instruments.

Based on real industry insight, the academic staff have enjoyed an excellent reputation for academic excellence and knowledge. The teachers are also renowned for taking a personal approach to support students to reach their full potential and achieve their goals. The school has offered opportunities for its staff to attend masters’ degree programs. 50% of the staff are expected to have MA/MSc degrees and 5% PhD degrees by 2013. The school has offered preferential policies for ethnic minority students and disadvantaged ones, helping them to pursue the college education.

Nha Trang College of Culture, Art & Tourism has just had an honor to be rewarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister. In 2009 – 2010 school year, the school was granted the excellent emulation flag. Particularly, the school held a ceremony to receive the 2nd grade Medal of Labor by the State President and the emulation flag by the Prime Minister on December 28, 2010.

The achievements are the pride of the school, helping inspire all the staff to greater efforts in the coming years.
