Tuna fishing is maily in the three provinces of Phu Yen, Binh Dinh and Khanh Hoa with a total capacity of CV146,000 with an annual catch of 10,000 tons and an export turnover of USD100 million. The Vietnam Tuna Association (Vinatuna) expects to reach a catch of 30,000tons by 2015.
Vietnam Tuna Association aims to support its members to develop and improve fishing activities as well as protect legitimate rights relating to the protection, fishing, trading and processing of tuna in Vietnam.
