Sipping a drink and watching a famous movie with 3 Dimension (3D) technology is a new entertainment in Nha Trang.
Nha Trang has no 3D cinemas so far but 3D film lovers can enjoy them at some coffee shops in the city.

The first 3D-film coffee shop in Nha Trang has been opened since 2009 in Pham Van Dong Street. The owner of the coffee shop is a young man named Pham Ngoc Thoai, who opened a second one in the center of the city in January 2011.
The second 3D-film coffee shop really becomes an interesting destination in Nha Trang for those who want to enjoy 3D films with a drink. The two-floor coffee shop, located in Phu Dong Street, is equipped with 3D Optoma projectors, Appolo 500-inch screens, Klipsch loudspeakers and expensive glasses. It has three projection rooms with 40 seats in each. 3D films here are famous foreign ones such as Avatar, Star Wars and Ice Age. They have Vietnamese subtitle.
The 3D film projection rooms are well-designed with grey sofas and yellow lights, which are suitable for drinking coffee and watch films.
The new entertainment is a favorite with many young people in Nha Trang.
Nguyen Thi Thu Minh, who is a student of Nha Trang University and a regular customer of the 3D coffee shop, said, “Sipping coffee and watch a 3D film is very interesting. I like films here. Their pictures are beautiful and clear.”
“I often come to 3D film coffee shop in Dong Da Street with my friends at weekends. The atmosphere there is private and unnoisy. It brings me a relaxed time”, said Ha Thi Thu Lan, 38, an agent of a travel firm.
Thoai, the owner of two 3D-film coffee shops in Nha Trang, confided, “I always pay attention to invest in devices to bring my customers 3D films with good-quality picture and sound. Even, all 3D glasses in my coffee shops are imported and worth USD150 each. I also hope to expand the shops to serve more customers.”
