Since July 2009, VNPT Khanh Hoa has carried out a preferential policy named MegaVNN services for the local organizations, schools and individuals in education. Packages include Easy, Family, Maxi and Pro with the maximum download and upload speed of 8,192Kpbs. Beneficiaries are the local Department of Education & Training, agencies directly under the Department of Education & Training and schools in Khanh Hoa Province. Schools in remote areas enjoy a 100% discount.
People working in education are charged from VND125,000 to VND727,273, 50% discount compared with other subscribers, depending on the type of service -MegaVNN Easy, MegaVNN Family or newly launched MegaVNN Pro. Besides, schools and education agencies are exempt from the charge for installation, an ADSL modem, etc. Nearly 6,000 customers in Khanh Hoa have benefited from the service.
Professor Pham Quang Huy, Nha Trang University, one of VNPT Khanh Hoa Package service user said, “I use Easy service, VND125,000/month. I used to pay a much higher charge. It is very economical. The program has helped me to save a lot of money. The internet is helpful in providing much information in teaching.”
Educational materials at all levels from pre-school to post-doctoral are available on websites. The internet also faciliates collaborative work. VNPT Khanh Hoa’s Discount MegaVNN service is very helpful in teaching and education administration.
