Recently, many fast-food restaurants with famous trademarks has opened in Nha Trang, which makes the city more modern and more convenient, especially to tourists.
Fast food restaurants are often situated at shopping malls or on streets in the center of the city. For example, Maximark Nha Trang has Jollibee, an American-style fast-food restaurant with Filipino-influenced dishes specializing in burgers, spaghetti, chicken and some local Filipino dishes while Nha Trang Center building has Lotteria from South Korea and KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) from the United States primarily selling chicken pieces, wraps, salads and sandwiches. Many other fast-food stores have sprung up in streets like Tran Quang Khai, Nguyen Thien Thuat, Tue Tinh, Trinh Phong…Such fast-food stores have large custom every day. Most of the custom are young people and tourists.
Fast-food enjoy large custom for its simpleness, deliciousness and reasonable price. A serving including fried chicken, chip, salad and coke is selling only from VND35,000 to VND80,000. Fast-food restaurants in the city are also polite and convenient.
Moreover, the foreign fast-food trademarks have some dishes with Vietnamese flavor. For example, Jollibee has chicken rice while Lotteria sells rice with baked chicken or beef and KFC has rice, porridge and noodle with chicken.

KFC Vietnam General Director Pornchai Thuratum reveals that KFC will open 1 – 2 more restaurants in Nha Trang in the time to come. Lotteria also plans to open one more restaurant in the coastal city in end 2011. In addition, the fast-food market promises to be more abundant when some other trademarks such as Popeye’s and McDonald’s from the US and Subway from South Korea enter Vietnam soon.
“Fast-food is indispensable to a modern and busy life. The number of fast-food restaurants in Nha Trang surely will soar in the future as the city welcome more and more tourists, especially foreigners”, said General Director of Hoan Cau Khanh Hoa Company Le Dinh Tri.
