According to the survey by Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography, Nha Trang Bay has over 350 kinds of coral reef and 600 sea creatures, including crabs, lobsters, abalone, etc with a reserve of 35,000 tons.
Nha Trang Bay has an area of 40,000ha. The number of pelagic fish makes up 70% while benthic fish 30%.
