In 2010, Nha Trang Sunrise Hotel installed solar BK heaters provided by Ho Chi Minh City’s Bach Khoa Investment & Development of Solar Energy Corporation. Nha Trang Sunrise Hotel invested VND1.3 billion in solar BK equipment composed of heat collectors, storage tanks, electric control devices, hot water mix units and fittings for circulation and installation.
The solar water heaters are a sound way to reduce energy bills. The initial investment is high but in return it can bring sustainable long-term benefits.The prominent strengths of this heater are safety in using, energy saving and harmless to environment.
Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of Back Khoa Corporation says that the solar BK heater can save 346kwh of power used. In addition, its roof-mounted photovoltaic modules help cool the buildings in the day and heat it at night, so it can reduce energy bills for air- conditioning.
“The maintenance is much easier. The water supplied by the solar water system is much safer,” said Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Chief Engineer of Nha Trang Sunrise Hotel. The energy saving measures have painted a nice image of Nha Trang Sunrise Hotel committed to environmental protection.
