Job fair provide a convenient location for job seekers to meet employers and perform first interviews.

The Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs in cooperation with the Ninh Hoa Town People’s Committee opened the 3rd job fair 2011 on September 25. This was a great opportunity for job seekers to meet prospective employers and recruiters to find suitable positions.

Mai Xuan Tri, Vice Director of Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs says the job fair attracted 20 enterprises inside and outside Khanh Hoa Province with over 2,500 positions on offer in such fields as textile, fishery, electronics, wood processing, etc. It provided a convenient location for students to meet employers and perform first interviews.

Nguyen Van Chien, Ninh Da Ward, Ninh Hoa Town said, “I am a corporate accounting graduate. The fair helps me to get to know many positions that suit my qualification.”

Chien decided to start work at NDT&C Company. “I hope it will be a good start for my career,” he added.

Tran Cao Nguyen, Ninh Hoa Vocational High School’s final year student said, “I am major in industrial electricity. I come here to get information about recruitment demand. I think Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard will be a good place for me to work for when I graduate.”

Many questions about work, income, accommodation and so on were raised by job seekers and directly answered by employers at the venue.

Job fairs provide opportunities for the unemployed to meet representatives from corporations of all industries during a short period of time, enabling direct interaction between job seekers and potential recruiters, Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Vice Chief of the Labor Department of Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard says, adding that workers at Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard can enjoy a pleasant working environment with a good income. 

Over 20 enterprises, including 3 labor export ones, joined the recruitment event attended by 1,290 people looking for employment and apprenticeships. 145 were recruited, 170 were invited to a further interview later at the enterprises and 17 registered for labor export.
