Implementing Instruction 44-CT/TW dated September 20, 1994 by the provincial Secretary Board, Khanh Hoa Province has achieved certain results in renovating and intensifying foreign affairs during the past years.
The province has actively expanded multilateral relationships with international friends, ambassadors and consulates of many countries in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese diplomatic agencies abroad.
Until now, Khanh Hoa has signed international cooperation agreements with Ulsan (Korea), Kharcov (Ukraine), Saint-Peterburg (Russia), Attapu, Champasak (Laos), Morbihan (France) and Moravian (Czech Republic). Accordingly, many investors have come to the province to survey, cooperate and develop projects.

Especially, the province has attached importance to enhancing friendly relations with neighboring nations. From 2006 to now, the province has sponsored scholarships and equipment in medicine, education, science, technology and agriculture for them. Simultaneously, the province has facilitated local businesses such as Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company, Mai Linh Southern Central Company and Vina Mechanical Company to expand operation in neighboring countries.
Universities, colleges and research agencies in Khanh Hoa such as Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography and Nha Trang Institute of Vaccine also have promoted exchanges and cooperation with foreign organizations.
The province has joined some international organizations such as the World’s Most Beautiful Bay Club and the Francophone Solar Association.
Owing to above good relationships, the province has been given a lot of supports in knowledge and finance from abroad for poverty reducing programs, education - training, environment, disease prevention, cure and so on.
It’s possible to say that foreign affairs in Khanh Hoa Province during the past years have contributed to ensure security and benefit for the country and intensify international solidarity as well as support for democracy and peace in the world.
