Established in early 2010, Sao Viet Cashew Nut Processing Co., Ltd., located at Phu Hoi 3 Hamlet, Van Thang Commune, Van Ninh District, has created a number of jobs for local laborers.
Industrial production of Van Ninh District in recent time is rather busy. Cashew Nut Processing Plant of Sao Viet Cashew Nut Processing Co., Ltd. alone has attracted about 500 local laborers, mainly women.

A worker named Nguyen Thi Luong, 34, said, “Previous to working here, I was a rice-grower. When Sao Viet Company opened, I applied for a job and being accepted. The company trained me to work. The near working place and the good working environment have facilitated my life.”
Most of workers in the company still do farming at home. Therefore, during crop time, the company allows the workers to take turns off to harvest their farm products. Average income of a worker is between VND2 million – VND4 million a month. Workers can raise income by extra work. On special days, the company often gives incentive bonus to workers and organized music shows, sports events and trips to create playgrounds for them. Diseased workers are also given regards.
According to Director Nguyen Ngoc Hoang, the company will expand more plants to develop production which will increase sharply as demand on export is soaring. The company will recruit more employees, prioritizing local laborers, he added.
“Sao Viet Cashew Nut Processing Co., Ltd. has created jobs with stable income for many local laborers. Moreover, the company has helped them raise awareness of industrial production, which encourages labor structure shift towards reducing agricultural labor proportion. Therefore, the local authority always supports the company”, said Nguyen Sang, chairman of Van Thang Commune People’s Committee.
