50,000 mothers whose children are under 16 years old are expected to benefit from the project on 5 millions mothers on child education and care 2010-2015.

Approved by the Prime Minister in May 2010, the project 2010-2015 implemented by the Women’s Union is being piloted in Cam Duc Town and Son Tan Commune, Cam Lam District.

The project is intended to provide practical knowledge about child education and care for 50,000 mothers whose children are under the age of 16.

At least 20,000 minors will have access to reproductive health and skills which enable them to deal with inevitable difficulties and adversities in life more effectively.

13,000 fathers whose children are under the age of 16 will be provided knowledge about gender equality, child education and care.

Nguyen Thi Nhung, Chairwoman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Women’s Union, hopes that the project will help parents and caregivers to take care of children better reducing the child malnutrition and injury rate as well as juvenile delinquency.

The project is committed to providing helpful child education and care knowledge for healthier and happier future generations.

Reportedly, the project will be piloted in some communities in the 2011-2012 period and then in the 2012-2015 it will be implemented throughout Khanh Hoa Province.
