Corporate culture is formed along with every business’ development. Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co., Ltd. is one of businesses in Khanh Hoa Province showing corporate culture meaningfully.

During 15 years of development, Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co., Ltd. (HVS) has  paid much attention to social work. The company has done practical activities such as joining “Operation Healthy Heart” and “Going to School with Children”, building houses for needy families and supporting community welfare programs.

In 2009, the company poured about VND700 million to charity and the figure rose to over VND2.6 billion till October, 2011. “We consider charity work not only as a responsibility but also a joy when contributing the society”, confided HVS’ General Manager Song Cheol Won.Beside this, Hyundai Vinashin always attaches importance to ensure income as well as spiritual life for its employees. Along with salary, all the employees are supported with lunch and mid-shift meal, costing VND15,000/person/day. They are also given drinks good for health such as milk and other nutritious ones.

 

On special days like holidays and the company’s establishment day, HVS often organizes cultural and sports events such as music shows and tournaments of football, volleyball and marathon with an aim to create a healthy spiritual life for the laborers.

Especially, since February, 2011, every Friday afternoon, the company has brought 80 – 100 workers’ families to its factory to visit and understand the work here. After that, they have been invited to a dinner party where workers’ relatives can express their desires to the factory’s managing board to strengthen ties between the company and workers as well as their families. Till end November, 2011, the company has held 26 parties costing over VND1.8 billion, meeting 5,400 workers’ relatives.

It’s possible to say that for Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard Co., Ltd., corporate culture always goes abreast the company’s development.
