Since 2009, the Child Support Project, 2nd phase, has supported governmental efforts to improve vulnerable children's access to education, vocational training and basic health services, helping them to lead a comfortable and safe life.

The project has enabled 1,775 vulnerable children to have access to schooling, medical care, sports and recreational activities.

1,227 have been offered medical insurance cards, health care and medicines free of charge. The project has held vocational training courses on carpentry, cooking, hairdressing, etc for 76 children.

Business and agricultural knowledge has been provided for 788 families where vulnerable children are living.

On national holidays, they are given gifts and take part in many sporting events and music shows as well as other community integration activities. 4 child right clubs have been set up in Khanh Hoa Province.

Over the past 3 years, the project has limited the number of street children in Khanh Hoa Province. The project has just finished, but its support activities in education, vocational training and loan provision are required to maintain children's sustainable development.

Everyone in the community should join hands and come up with a long-term solution helping to protect and prevent children from living and working in the street.
