A forest fire is a natural disaster, a great danger to people living in forests and wildlife. It has been found that forest fire is due to human activities.

Fire lit by farmers to catch bees or clear small patches of jungle land for shifting cultivation may get out of control and keep burning, resulting in severe damage to forests and the surrounding region.

Countless hectares of forests is burned because of human carelessness. Burning dry grass in fields can spread to nearby forests.

Special precautions are required to be taken to make sure fire is not carelessly ignited. 10 fire control directive boards have been founded with over 100 members.

Consensus on forest protection has been signed by households living in and near forests.

Moreover, a close cooperation in wildfire control has been maintained among local authorities, forest owners and local residents. The district has ensured a 24-hour standby to discover timely any cases of Illegal forest destruction as well as deal with emergencies.

In 2012, the local authorities continue to help residents with intensive farming to limit fire used by cultivators as a tool for conversion of forests into agricultural land.

In addition, fire-fighting scenario rehearsals need to be held to give firemen a rigorous test as to whether or not their resilience and training is actually effective.
