The managing committee of Khanh Hoa Buddhist Church hosted the celebration of Vesak B.E. 2556 at Long Son Pagoda, Nha Trang City on May 5.
Present at the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Head of national assembly delegation of Khanh Hoa Province and Le Xuan Than, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People's Committee together with Buddhist monks and nuns and local residents.
General rites and rituals practiced on the Vesak Day included chanting of mantras for peace; releasing of caged birds; preparing vegetarian meals, etc.
