Over 1,500 joined a rally on June 3 to observe the World Environment Day (June 5).
The Environment Day 2012 with the theme "Green Economy: Does it include you?" was celebrated in many ways, including a street rally, a parade winding its way through main streets and clean-up campaigns.
The event aimed to raise public awareness of environmental issues, which will ensure people enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.
