Implementing project “Support Vietnamese labors working abroad under contracts”, Khanh Hoa Province has selected Malaysia as a main market.
In recent years, Malaysia’s open policies have facilitated labor export to this country. Accordingly, Vietnam has selected Malaysia as a potential market to export labors. First Vietnamese labors working in Malaysia had earned stable income.

According to statistics of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, there are about 77,000 Vietnamese labors working in Malaysia, mainly in electronics, textile garments, wood processing and mechanics with an average income of VND8 – 10 million/month. Expense to enter Malaysia is about VND24 million. Most employees in Malaysia don’t require skills and foreign language.
The project gives priority to those who are revolutionary households, poor households and ethnic minority people.
“After surveys, we have found down that Malaysia is suitable for prioritized people in this project. Additionally, after 3-year contract, labors can get a 1-2 year extension. We target to send 500 labors from Khanh Hoa Province to Malaysia”, said Mai Xuan Tri, deputy manager of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
Labors joining the project will be supported in studying vocation, foreign language and necessary knowledge about laws of labor importing countries. Moreover, labors can borrow money from the Bank of Social Policies.
