With 17 administrative formalities under TCVN ISO 9001:2008 quality management and promotion in information technology (IT) application,  Khanh Hoa Department of Information and Communications has done administrative reform effectively.

From ‘One Gate” to “Open One Gate”

In 2011, the provincial Department of Information and Communications receives 130 files related to press, publishment, telecommunication and information technology. Most of the files were solved before or in schedule. No files were overdued.

In the first six months of 2012, the department received 33 files, 29 of which have been solved.

The department has announced its 17 administrative formalities at “One gate” division and on website http://www.ict-khanhhoa.vn.

File receiving and paying under “One gate” mechanism qualified for quality management system TCVN ISO 9001:2008 is exact, scientific and time-saving for officials as well as file applicants.

At present, the department is experimenting the software “Open One Gate”. File applying can be made through internet.

Nguyen Kim Hoa, director of the department said, “Owning to the software “Open One Gate”, the department can add or edit administrative formalities easily.”

Le Hoang Nguyen, an official of Radio Frequency Center of Region VII, said, “Working with the provincial Department of Information and Communications, I appreciate file receiving and  solving here. Especially, “Open One Gate” has saved much time and effort for us.”

Promoting IT application

During the past time, the department will run Khanh Hoa Portal to update information of the provincial People’s Committee

The department coordinated with related departments to answer 42 queries for the portal in 2011 and 30 queries in the first half of 2012.

In the future, the department will develop more projects to promote information technology application in administrative reform such as upgrading the provincial data center, upgrading WAN and e-mail system and developing software “Open One Gate” for other departments, the provincial People’s Committee Office and Nha Trang People’s Committee.
