Coach tickets are usually in high demand during the Lunar New Year festive season. Le Van Thanh, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Transport Service Company, Ltd. says many coach tickets from Nha Trang to the northern provinces of Vinh and Thanh Hoa and Hanoi are still available, meeting Vietnamese people’s expectation for trips back home for family reunion during the Lunar New Year or Tet holiday.
How has the passenger service transportation plan carried out?
We made a plan for passenger transportation service during Tet Holiday on November 15, 2012 and began to sell tickets to northern provinces on January 12, 2013 (or the 1st day of the last month of the year), earlier than last year.
The first new year coach trip will run on January 31 (or the 20th day).
An agreement on the same fixed coach fares has been reached by 7 major transport service businesses, including Khanh Hoa Coach Co., Quang Hanh Co., Lien Hung Co., Cuc Tung Co., Mai Linh Co., Phuong Trang Co., and Ha Linh Co.
The agreed fixed prices were calculated based on fuel cost, asset depreciation, toll, etc.
Is there something new in ticket sale and passenger transportation this year?
This year, the company has been mandated to sell tickets of all the transport service businesses mentioned above at coach stations.
We provide particularly favorable conditions for passengers as they can buy tickets and get on and off coaches at many locations, including Southern Coach Station, Northern Coach Station and Ninh Hoa Coach Station. However, passengers from Cam Ranh will have to go to Southern Coach Station to be picked up.

How is the New Year ticket sale going?
Not many tickets have been sold out so far. The number of passengers taking trips back to their hometowns in northern provinces are expected to decrease because of labor cutbacks in many businesses, especially in Ninh Hoa Town, so many of workers have returned home much earlier.
We have made great effort to assure sufficient tickets for Vietnamese passengers to return home for family reunion during Tet Holiday.
