Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved to designate 2013 as the Vietnamese Family Year.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism are responsible for the guidance and cooperation with provincial People’s Committees, ministries and agencies in organizing practical activities to mark the Year of Family.
Besides, communication campaigns are required to encourage people to build a happy and healthy family, a basic unit of human society.
Vietnamese Family Day is celebrated on June 28 to promote the family-oriented tradition.
