Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee in association with Vietnam Airlines held a ceremony in Nha Trang City on March 27 to announce the opening of a new direct air-route between Moscow and Nha Trang. Present at the event was Le Xuan Than, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
The new air-route will open on April 5 with one flight every Friday on Boeing 777 and then 2 flights every Monday and Friday from October to meet the increasing travel demand between the two places.
In 2012, Vietnam received nearly 180,000 Russian arrivals, including 82,000 to Khanh Hoa alone. Most of the travelers were from 9 cities in the Russian Far East to Nha Trang through Cam Ranh International Airport.
