On March 4, Nguyen Chien Thang, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee met with scientists of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS) led by Sergienko Valentin, Chairman of the FEB RAS.

Nguyen Chien Thang introduced outstanding socio-economic achievements of Khanh Hoa in recent years, especially in such fields as tourism, industry, trade and sea ports in the 3 key economic zones (Nha Trang, Van Phong, Cam Ranh) and hoped that through international cooperation programs, Russian scientists would support the province in science, technology, education, etc.
In response, Sergienko Valentin thanked for the warm reception of Khanh Hoa leaders. A brief introduction of 34 institutes of FEB RAS was also given with the hope for the cooperation with Khanh Hoa Province, Nha Trang Institute of Technology Research & Application and Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography.
