Over years, Khanh Hoa Children’s Foundation together with many agencies, organizations and businesses has provided support for hundreds of disadvantaged children and their families in Khanh Hoa Province.

Thanks to the VND70 million support from the children’s foundation, my child had a surgery in Ho Chi Minh City in March, 2013. He is fine now. We are very happy and grateful.”
Tran Thanh Thao Vy, 2 years old, in Dien Phu Commune, Dien Khanh District, underwent a heart surgery in early 2013. Tran Thi Thanh Ngoc, her mother, said, “We do not have enough money to take her to hospital. We are so lucky and grateful for the VND50 million support from the children’s heart program.”
The two cases mentioned above are among hundreds of infants receiving financial support from the local children’s foundation.
Tran Thi Thanh Mai, Director of Khanh Hoa Children’s Fund, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs, says since 2010, Khanh Hoa Children’s Foundation in association with Chi Minh City Medicine & Pharmacy University Hospital, Tam Duc Heart Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) and Khanh Hoa General Hospital has given medical treatment to 500 infants and performed heart surgery on 270 infants with inborn heart problems with the financial support worth over VND4.6 billion.
"We will continue raising fund from organizations and businesses to save life of children born with heart diseases,” she confirms.
Apart from the heart operation program, Khanh Hoa Children’s Foundation has held many activities to take care of needy children. Along with propaganda to raise public awareness of child care issues, the foundation has financed the rehabilitation for disabled children, offered scholarships to poor students and organized entertaining activities for children.
Since 2010, the foundation in association with Khanh Hoa General Hospital has given medical treatment and performed operations on 50 children with eye diseases and 50 born with a cleft lip or palate; donated hundreds of wheelchairs and bicycles to needy children; in association with Abbott and Vinamilk companies offered over 440 milk boxes on special occasions such as the International Children’s Day, Moon Festival, etc.
Khanh Hoa Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to helping disadvantaged children to integrate into the community, reach their maximum potential and make their dreams come true.
