The Cultural and Social Board of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council has just supervised child education and care tasks in Cam Ranh City.
Since 2005, the city has provided monthly allowances to 268 needy children, 254 scholarships to the poor and disabled children, gifts to 19,287 on the occasions of New Year, International Children’s Day, Moon Festival, etc.
Besides, medical insurance cards have been issued to children. From 2010 to March 2013, over 158,000 children under 6 were provided medical treatment free of charge with the total cost of over VND12 billion.
Nha Trang City People’s Committee suggested more investment in children’s amusement parks in remote areas.
