To meet the high demand for train tickets in the university entrance exam season, the Vietnam Railway Corporation in general and Nha Trang Station in particular have created favorable conditions for the candidates to buy train tickets.
Would you please tell me how the discount on tickets for students works?
Nguyen Duc Manh, Chief of Nha Trang Train Station says, “We make sure sufficient supply of train tickets for the candidates.
Tickets from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City are in the highest demand. SN5/6 Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City tickets are still available.
Besides daily trains, additional trains including SN3/4 and SN5/6 have been put into service. More coaches or trains will be added if they are in a high demand.
Especially, a 10% discount on train tickets is offered to students who take entrance exams or begin their courses at universities, colleges and vocational schools this year.
When purchasing discounted tickets, students are required to show their student cards, or identity cards and exam or admission notices. The discount is also offered to the candidates’ companying parents or relatives.
The names of the stations where the discounted ticket are sold must be labeled on the tickets.
The tickets will be checked later against the holders' student cards, or identity cards and notices of exams or admission.
The initiative is recognized to be transport solutions for students’ journeys to and from universities and colleges.
The discount is available on single and return tickets from June 4 to October 31, 2013."
