Bo Bo Kha, a Raglai man, is well know for his farming efficiency in Hap Thinh Residential Unit, To Hap Town, Khanh Son District, Khanh Hoa Province. Besides, he has also contributed greatly to social activities in his community.

Bo Bo Kha says that he got married to Cao Thi Kim Linh in 1993. Their parents were all poor, so they started from nothing.

Due to hard work and application of advanced technology in production, their living standard has much improved for over 10 years. He has invested in cows, durian, purple sugarcane, coffee trees and some other fruit trees.

He can earn up to VND100 million a year. Their eldest child is studying at Khanh Hoa Medical College and the younger one is a ninth-grader in To Hap Town.

In addition, he has also shared his production experience to local residents. Bo Bo Kha has given a resident named Cao Hong Toan in Hap Thinh instructions on crop diversification and restructuring. “I can get a much higher stable income of VND50 million a year thanks to Bo Bo Kha’s help,” says Cao Hong Toan.

Besides, Kha has joined social activities. He is now Chairman of To Hap Town Red Cross and Deputy Head of Hap Thinh Residential Unit. He is also engaged in paper work in his community. 

Bo Bo Kha has won trust and praise among local residents and thus he is seen as a local guard as well as a mediator in disputes and a general “fixer” of individual problems in the town.

Therefore, he has been granted many certificates of merit for his contribution to unanimity among the local people and healthy lifestyle promotion in his community.

With his achievement in production and social work, Bo Bo Kha has been recorgnized one of the eight typical cultural families to attend the National Cultural Family Conference scheduled to take place in Hanoi this September.
