Community Managed Health & Livelihoods Development implemented in 11 communes in Khanh Vinh

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved the project “Community Managed Health & Livelihoods Development” (CMH&LD), period 2013 – 2016, sponsored by Netherlands-Vietnam Medical Committee.

The project aims to extend its effective activities held in the period 2005 - 2009 and 2010 - 2012.  The total cost of the project is VND8.5 billion, including VND6 billion from Netherlands-Vietnam Medical Committee, VND2 billion from the local budget and VND500 million from local residents.

The CMH&LD includes improving the local veterinary network, raising chicken and black pig breeding productivity, malnutrition intervention and prevention for children under 5, supporting health care activities, etc.

Implemented in 30 villages in 11 communes in Khanh Vinh District, the project will benefit all local residents, especially ethnic minority people, woman and poor, disabled people living in the project area.
