Could you please explain more about this year’s theme: “Learning to have a job and work more effectively?”
Our nation is possessed of traditional fondness for learning and meritocracy. The valuable tradition has been formed, preserved and promoted throughout the nation history from generation to generation.
During the renovation process, to build and develop the country, the Party and the State have always worked out the way to have appropriate policies to revive and promote the education, contributing to successful implementation of the national industrialization and modernization.
Learning society and lifelong learning are essential, eminently shown through the attitude "Education is national top priority" and the policy “Educational socialization”, following the Uncle Ho’s teaching "Everybody has a chance to study".
Lifelong learning begins at birth and continues throughout our life and includes formal and informal learning opportunities. Establishing a learning society contributes to increase local people’s intellectual standards and improve their life quality.
This is a new trend in humanity development, especially in the era of knowledge economy together with integration and globalization. It is also the development basis for economics, science and technology in the new era. Lifelong learning is essential to support human capability enhancement for better life.
