A scientific conference on data base on Khanh Hoa forest biodiversity was held on November 25 by Khanh Hoa Department of Natural Resources & Environment in association with Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology.

According to Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology, Khanh Hoa forest has 2,142 flora species. The data base on Khanh Hoa forest biodiversity is being built and managed using the botanical research and herbarium management software (BRAHMS). Khanh Hoa was evaluated to have high biodiversity with many newly found flora species of great value such as paphiopedilum delenatii guillaum, etc.
Presentations were on 5 topics, including forest biodiversity, flora biodiversity, fauna biodiversity, results of forest biodiversity data base, and socio-economic evaluation related to forest biodiversity conservation and forest biodiversity conservation project.
