According to Chu Dinh Loc, Deputy Principal of Nha Trang Teacher Training College, improvement in training quality and scientific and technological activities are main tasks of the college.
Thanks to local authorities’ concern and support, the college has focused on conducting scientific researches, upgrading labs, and creating favorable conditions for lecturers to do scientific research. The strength of the college is in basic science sector. Research results have been used in their teaching. Besides, education science has been also focused.

Nha Trang Teachers’ Training College has a well-trained teaching staff with some experienced in scientific research. The college has 1 associate professor, 5 PhD, 76 MA and more than 10 postgraduates.
Scientific research has much improved in recent years with 121 subjects, including 28 scientific and technological subjects and 93 compiled textbooks.
In the 2012-2013 school year, the staff registered for a provincial-level scientific research “Compiling materials for teaching and learning Khanh Hoa philology at junior high schools” by PhD Ngo Thi Minh.
The subject has been approved and prepared for implementation. Besides, 7 other scientific subjects have been checked and taken over and 17 textbooks and reference materials for a credit education system have been compiled .
Moreover, 3 lecturers cooperating with local universities and research institutes took part in scientific research at ministry and Sate level on math and physics. They were Associate Professor, Ph.D Le Thi Phuong Ngoc, PhD Phan Phien and PhD Phan Thanh Phong.
Since the academic year 2011-2012, the college has had 140 scientific research subjects done by students.
However, according to leaders of Nha Trang Teachers’ Training College, there remain some difficulties in seeking for practical and feasible scientific research themes. Scientific and technological work has focused only on compiling teaching and reference materials.
The college lacks infrastructures and funds for scientific and technological research. To overcome difficulties, some lecturers have cooperated with some institutes of research, including Khanh Hoa Institute of Technology Research & Application, the Institute of Chemistry and National Institute of Physics. The college has just worked with Hue University of Pedagogy for cooperation in forming and consolidating research groups.
Besides, the college has planned to work with relevant agencies, especially Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training to do research on new education models.
