Khanh Hoa Preventive Medicine Center has just launched a campaign against measles 2014 for infants aged 9 months to 2 years.
The campaign will run in April 2014 through all communities in Khanh Hoa Province (a separate campaign will take place in Truong Sa District) with a target of over 95% infants aged 9 months to 2 years vaccinated against measles, according to Huynh Trong Tan, Secretary of the provincial open immunization project.

To assure the target and schedules, how will the campaign be implemented?
Medical stations will make lists of children, especially those who have not been given any doses of measles vaccines. Medical staff engaged in the immunization must have attended courses on open immunization safety.
Besides, to assure safety, Khanh Hoa Preventive Medicine Center will supervise immunization activities before, during and after the campaign. Moreover, medical centers have been required to found mobile emergency teams to give timely aid dealing with unexpected reaction.
How many infants will be vaccinated against measles this time?
About 10,400 infants are expected to be immunized. Nha Trang will have the most (3,500), followed by Ninh Hoa Town (1,950), Cam Ranh City (1,150), Van Ninh District (1,100), Dien Khanh District (1,050), Cam Lam District (850), Khanh Vinh District (450) and Khanh Son (350).
