Summer activities 2014 themed “Fun and voluntary summer” take place for 3 months with many interesting and practical programs, says Vo Hoan Hai, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Communist Youth Union.
2014 is the Year of Youth Volunteers. Therefore, This year’s summer activities also focus on this theme with voluntary social work for the sake of the community and disadvantaged people.

How are the summer activities 2014 organized?
Activities include propaganda on the State law and policies; national sea and island sovereignty; gratitude activities, “For disadvantaged children” movements, “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary Saturday”, environmental protection days, etc.
Besides, talks on revolutionary tradition and historical relics are held together with education on traffic safety and social evil prevention.
Volunteers from Youth Unions of universities and colleges are expected to be sent to disadvantaged communities, especially in the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh.
Technical transfer has been planned to help young people in remote areas to promote production effectiveness and improve their living standards. The youth are mobilized to undertake their socio-economic responsibilities.
Moreover, “2014 entrance exam season invigoration” program is maintained with volunteers providing counseling and support for candidates in need of accommodation, exam registration, etc. Effort is also made to protect security and traffic safety during university exams. School dropout prevention initiatives are also implemented to bring teen dropouts back to school and so on.
