1,000 blood donors respond to "Red Journey"

Nearly 1,000 people attended a meeting on July 11 in response to the 2014 “Red Journey” to Khanh Hoa Province. At the event, about 700 units of blood were donated and a parade was held through Nha Trang City via main streets.

 

“Red Journey” is a campaign that calls for blood donations across Vietnam, held by the National Institute of Hematology & Blood Transfusion in association with the provincial Mobilization Board for Voluntary Blood Donation, Let’s Viet Television and Nhan Ai Vong Tay Viet Joint Stock Company.

Reportedly, the largest-ever blood donation campaign themed “Connecting Vietnam bloodstream” is scheduled to take place on July 2-28 through 25 cities and provinces nationwide with the participation of 120 volunteers. 4,000 units of blood have been collected so far.
