Medical treatment has been given to 1.7 million arrivals, a 9.2% year-on-year increase; and inpatient treatment to nearly 104,000, a 4.3% increase. Operation has been performed on nearly 12,000 cases, a 29.2% rise.
In addition, Khanh Hoa General Hospital has also successfully implemented the national healthcare target program. Accordingly, 690 tuberculosis patients have been cured, 408 leprosy patients have been treated and hundreds of pregnant women have been given pre-birth screening tests.
The model of pre-marriage healthcare has remained. Many methods have been taken to control infectious diseases.
Open vaccination campaigns have been implemented as planed. Over 8,200 babies under 1 have been given sufficient doses of vaccines and nearly 1,000 children above 1 given the second dose of the vaccine against measles. 7 new medical stations have just been built.
According to Dr. Bui Xuan Minh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Health, from now to the end of the year, the focus will be on disease epidemic prevention and control; implementation of satellite hospital project and the project on healthcare for islands and coastal areas in Khanh Hoa; addiction treatment pilot using Methadone in Nha Trang City, etc.
