Nearly 100 represetatives in Khanh Hoa Province joined a meeting on June 30 to mark the Vietnam Health Insurance Day (July 1, 2014) themed “Extending health insurance coverage towards universal coverage”. Present at the event was Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

Nearly 759 people have been covered by medical insurance in Khanh Hoa so far, accounting for 63% of the population. For the first 6 months, 709,000 have been provided medical treatment covered by health insurance.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee founded a steering board for the project “Extending health insurance coverage towards universal coverage”, period 2012-2015 and 2020.
