Over the past years, through international charity activities for residents in Attapeu, Khanh Hoa Communist Youth Union has helped to strengthen Vietnam –Laos friendship.
A delegation of physicians of Khanh Hoa General Hospital has just given medical aid to local residents in Phu Vong District, Attapeu Province.

Dr. Nguyen Dac Thuan, Communist Youth Union Secretary of Khanh Hoa General Hospital says, “The delegation in cooperation with Laotian doctors has provided medical treatment and counseling for local residents with the help of Laotian interpreters.”
The charity trip has promoted the active role of youth volunteers as well as boosted the Vietnam –Laos friendship.
According to Pham Tien, Permanent Vice President of Vietnamese Young Doctors’ Association of Khanh Hoa Province, this meaningful activity has shown the youth’s responsibility for the community and promoted medical experience exchange between the two provinces.
The international youth cooperation program between Khanh Hoa Communist Youth Union and Attapeu Youth Union has run for over 2 years. Medical facilities, computers and utensils worth nearly VND1.2 billion in total were provided together with free medical treatment and medicines for 2,000 residents in Attapeu Province.
Keo Vongvien Butsavong, Secretary of Attapeu Youth Union says, the support from Khanh Hoa is very helpful for Attapeu General Hospital. The friendship of young people in the two provinces has been fostered.
Vo Hoan Hai, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Communist Youth Union, the charity program has left good impressions on Attapeu residents.
An agreement on cooperation tasks, period 2014-2017, has just been signed, focusing on voluntary green summer campaigns, youth festivals, etc. The volunteer work is committed to a strong bond of cooperation and solidarity, helping young people to be aware of special traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
