Khanh Hoa Inland Waterway police have strengthened concentrated inspection to assure road, waterway and railway traffic safety during National Day Festival (September 2).
Most of tourist boats have been found to satisfy equipment requirement for life-jackets and buoys and meet standard sanitation. Inspection plans have been implemented at such ports as Cau Da, Long Phu and Phu Quy (Nha Trang City) to meet increased travel demand of local residents and visitors.

In addition, at the Southern Coach, Nha Trang City, handouts on road traffic rules have been given to raise pubic awareness and encourage safe driving.
Nguyen Cong Hai, Chief of Nha Trang City Southern Coach Station, says, "The station has worked with transport companies to add coaches to satisfy the travel increase as well as sanitation and safety demand during the peak time."
According to Nguyen Xuan Chanh, Head of Khanh Hoa Traffic Safety Board, Khanh Hoa Traffic Public Security forces have maintained patrols of the national road and main streets in Nha Trang City, focusing on punishment for traffic law violations.
Besides, provincial road and railway police have boosted traffic control on the national road to prevent speeding, reckless and drunk driving as well as violations based on the condition or status of vehicles.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Dung, Head of Nha Trang City Traffic Police, says traffic inspection has increased to moderate the traffic density to prevent traffic jams on Tran Phu Street, at tourist ports, Ponagar Temples, Long Son Pagoda, etc.
Nha Trang City is ready for a safe and happy festival for local residents and tourists.
