Young people and students of Huong Tu Charity Group have traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Suoi Cat Commune, Cam Lam District to bring gifts to Raglai children. Their good deeds have left good impression on the community.

Ho Nguyen Thu Anh, Head of the Huong Tu Communicative Board says, “We have come here twice to offer gifts to the disadvantaged. We hope we can help the needy and assure every child’s access to educational opportunity. These charity trips make us more mature and understand about philanthropy and especially, the values of life. Back to Ho Chi Minh City this time, I will encourage more young people to join in charity work.”

Since its foundation, Huong Tu has shown noble purposes in an effort to encourage young people and students to engage in charitable activities. It has raised young generations’ awareness of life values and helped prevent them from wrong concepts that they may have. “Happiness doesn't result from what we get, but from what we give.” Giving has become their happiness and spending time with charitable trips is their delight in finding true meanings of life.

VND50 million worth of gifts offered to Raglai children in Suoi cat Commune is not much for a company but a big fortune for the students. Therefore, they have to work, such as selling balloons and seek donations from individuals and organizations to raise fund for the charity.

According to Vo Thi Thanh Huong, Principal of Khanh Hoa- JeJu Primary School, Cam Lam District, in spite of young age, members of Huong Tu Group have showed their social responsibility. They have come here twice to help poor children in Suoi Cat Commune. I am moved by what they have done.”

Another charitable group named Nu Cuoi Moi (New Smile Group) is formed by students aged 19-20 in Nha Trang City. They have raised fund to help orphans by selling souvenirs. Nguyen Huu Phong, Head of the New Smile Group, says, “Our group was established in early 2014. We have offered gifts to orphans in Cam Lam District and Ninh Hoa Town. Though in different circumstances, we have the same purpose that is for the common sake.”

In recent time, more and more young people, especially students in colleges and universities, have been engaged in charity work. Inspired by their kind hearts and compassionate minds, they feel happy to get involved in making a difference to the lives of the disadvantaged.
