There are nine ethnic groups living in Hon Lay Hamlet, including Kinh, Tay, Nung, T’rin, Raglai, Dao, Muong, Thai and Cham. In order to propagandize and disseminate people to understand the Party’s and State’s policies, guidelines and laws, Ni Ê H’Tông has had to come to each house and used Vietnamese as a common language to exchange information.

Reportedly, it requires a lot of time and efforts to meet the householders or gather people for a meeting because most of people in the village are always busy with their own works until the afternoon or evening plus them living in a large area. Ni Ê H’Tông has made strenuous effort as well as tried to contact with people to help them understand the Party’s and State’s policies, guidelines and laws. She often uses actual, relevant and easily understandable talking to convince people.
Beside actively participating in social activities, Ni Ê H’Tông has also worked industriously to enrich her family. Thanks to the hard labor and expenditure savings, her family is now one of the better-off households in Hon Lay Hamlet. Her family owns one hectare of wet rice, five hectares of acacia trees, seven oxen and ten pigs, earning her family an income of VND100 million/year.
Ni Ê H’Tông bought a hand tractor to improve the soil owned by her family as well as help other people with their farm works. Having a stable economic condition, she has always shared and helped the disadvantaged households in the hamlet.
Reportedly, Hon Lay Hamlet is a bright spot of the movement “women helping each other to develop family economy”. Thanks to efforts of Ni Ê H’Tông, the women’s movement in the hamlet has strongly developed, helping the hamlet to reach and exceed the targets.
According to Ni Ê H’Ruôn, Chairman of Khanh Hiep Commune People’s Committee, Ni Ê H’Tông is an active women having done business well as well as a village’s deputy head who is always enterprising. She has always showed enthusiasm in work and offered many good ideas. Her family is one of the cultural ones in the commune. In the second representative congress of ethnic minorities of Khanh Vinh District, Ni Ê H’Ruôn was chosen to be reported as a typical example of a women doing business well and building a happy family.
