The Panamanian chief mechanic was working on Panama’s Ship Franbo Prospect heading to Hong Kong (China) from Thailand.
Having received the SOS signals, the centre sent Ship SAR 27-01, which was performing a rescue and search operation for the sunk Phuc Xuan 68 cargo vessel, to take the distressed man ashore for timely treatment.
