Khanh Hoa Department of Health in association with Nha Trang College of Culture, Art & Tourism held a meeting on November 14 in response to the World Diabetes Day 2014.
The latest estimates indicate that there are 400 million people living with diabetes and 5 million deaths caused by diabetes worldwide.
Khanh Hoa Province has managed and provided screening medical examination for local residents in 28 communes, wards and towns under the national target program on diabetes since 2009. In 2014, 200 people have been found with diabetes, nearly 800 have pre-diabetes and 2,500 are at high risk of developing diabetes.
